Racing Incident Report

ASIA RISING was withdrawn on 28.9.04 on veterinary grounds (multiple lacerations and abrasions to the body as a result of falling in the stable compound). Before being allowed to race again, ASIA RISING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Before being presented in the Parade Ring, EVERY TIME had an adjustment made to its right front plate. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and considered suitable to race. HELENE PILLAGING was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, SPARKY was steadied away from the heels of EVERY TIME which shifted in slightly. BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY was a little slow to begin and then shortly after the start was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of KING OF WIN which at this time was shifting in. As a consequence, BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY got well back. At the 1000 Metres, GREAT IDEA was steadied away from the heels of SHARKI. After the 800 Metres, SPARKY was inclined to hang out. For some distance after the 600 Metres, HELENE PILLAGING was awkwardly placed inside the heels of KING OF WIN. After the 400 Metres, EVERY TIME, which was having difficulty finding clear running, was steadied and shifted out in an endeavour to improve between HELENE PILLAGING and KING OF WIN. Near the 300 Metres, EVERY TIME was steadied when disappointed for this run as a result of KING OF WIN being carried out slightly by GREAT IDEA which shifted to the outside of MAJOR BEE into clear running. Over the concluding stages, DILIGENT hung out and because of this after the 50 Metres, D Whyte, its rider, stopped riding and straightened his mount. For the major part of the race, BACCHUS hung out. Throughout the race, KING OF WIN raced wide and without cover. EVERY TIME, SHARKI and DILIGENT were sent for sampling.
