Racing Incident Report
As the gates opened, NATURAL ECHO sat back, was slow to begin and as a consequence lost a significant amount of ground at the start. Before being allowed to race again, NATURAL ECHO will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. When the gates opened, SURE FORTUNE stood flat-footed, then began awkwardly and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, SURE FORTUNE will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Shortly after the start, ELITE WIN was crowded for room between SILVERBIRD which shifted in slightly and KING OF THE TURF which shifted out abruptly. Near the 1600 Metres, KING OF THE TURF was momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of ELITE WIN which was carried in by SILVERBIRD. No action was taken. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, FORTUNE DANCER was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SPEED OF LIGHT. Near the 400 Metres, DOLPHIN STAR, which was being hard ridden to maintain its position, was carried wider on the track by KING OF THE TURF which shifted to the outside of SILVERBIRD into clear running. Making the Home Turn, ELITE WIN was crowded for room when racing tight inside SILVERBIRD. After the 200 Metres, SPEED OF LIGHT was crowded for room between SILVERBIRD which when giving ground shifted out slightly and DOUBLE PLEASURE which shifted in slightly when hanging. NATURAL ECHO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of NATURAL ECHO after the race did not show any significant findings. KING OF THE TURF and DOUBLE PLEASURE were sent for sampling.
