Racing Incident Report

On jumping, GOLD STRIKER blundered and almost fell. Also on jumping, GALLANT FALCON was checked when crowded for room between ENCHANTED which with the intention of being ridden quietly from a wide gate got its head up and shifted in and CROWNED GEM which was carried out by EAST OCEAN DRAGON. As the gates opened, AMPLE GAINS turned its head to the left hand side, began awkwardly, bumped the outside gate of its stall and lost ground. A PLUS FIT was slow into stride. Near the 1400 Metres, SUNBELL, which was racing with its head on the side, shifted out away from the heels of ELEPHANT DANCE. As a result of this, AMPLE GAINS was held wide without cover. In the early stages, ENCHANTED proved difficult to settle. After the 1200 Metres, GOLD STRIKER was steadied when crowded for room inside ELEPHANT DANCE which itself was racing tight inside AMPLE GAINS (A Delpech) which was endeavouring to shift in to a position with cover. AMPLE GAINS then shifted out to relieve the pressure. At the 1100 Metres, ELEPHANT DANCE was steadied away from the heels of AMPLE GAINS which again shifted in when not properly clear. A Delpech was severely reprimanded and told he must leave sufficient racing room for runners on his inside. After the 600 Metres, EVER KING was shifted to the outside of the heels of ABERDEEN and then after the 500 Metres was checked away from the heels of FORTUNE PRINCESS. From shortly after the 400 Metres until near the 200 Metres, GALLANT FALCON had difficulty obtaining clear running between ELEPHANT DANCE which was giving ground and ENCHANTED. After the 200 Metres, GALLANT FALCON shifted to the outside of ENCHANTED and then closed the race off strongly. Near the 300 Metres, ABERDEEN, which was beginning to close the race off strongly, was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of A PLUS FIT. After the 200 Metres, ABERDEEN, which was continuing to close off, was steadied and shifted out to avoid the heels of PRINCE GOLF. Also after the 200 Metres, FORTUNE PRINCESS was awkwardly placed and unable to improve when racing inside the heels of NOBLE CHAMPION which shifted ground while laying in. GOLD STRIKER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of GOLD STRIKER after the race did not show any significant findings. AMPLE GAINS, SUNBELL and CROWNED GEM were sent for sampling.
