Racing Incident Report
ALL OUR WAY and CHINOOK were slow to begin. SPEED OF LIGHT, which was slow to begin, was hampered shortly after the start when RIGHT CHOICE shifted in. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SPEED OF LIGHT was checked when crowded for room inside ALL OUR WAY which after improving quickly to the inside of the heels of CHOSEN ONE was taken in slightly by that horse which got its head on the side and shifted in. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Near the 250 Metre, RIGHT CHOICE was steadied and shifted out after being disappointed for running inside MASTER DREAMER. RIGHT CHOICE then shifted out and passing the 200 Metres inconvenienced ALL OUR WAY. DARE TO WIN shifted ground outwards under pressure over the final 100 Metres. At the 50 Metres, CHOSEN ONE was steadied off the heels of GLORIOUS RHYTHM which shifted out. Because of this, CHOSEN ONE was not ridden out to the line as it normally would be. For the majority of the race, PIONERO travelled wide and without cover. CHINOOK, which finished at the rear of the field after travelling wide throughout, was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of CHINOOK after the race did not show any significant findings. MASTER DREAMER and DARE TO WIN were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported ALWAYS ZIETEN had lost its left front plate.
