Racing Incident Report
FOREVER RICHES was withdrawn on 22.5.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (left fore tendon injury). Before being allowed to race again, FOREVER RICHES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. In the early and middle stages, CHINSOLA travelled wide and without cover and after the 1600 Metres when being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover proved difficult to settle. After the 1200 Metres, when continuing to prove difficult to settle, CHINSOLA was allowed to stride forward and cross to race outside the leader. At the 1200 Metres, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was steadied to avoid the heels of FANTASTIC WIN which got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SUNRISE RAINBOW. After the 1000 Metres, SPECIFIC SORCEROR was left racing wide without cover. Approaching the 800 Metres, SUNRISE RAINBOW broke down. FANTASTIC WIN, which was following, was checked and shifted out to avoid that horse. This caused some inconvenience to PACIFIC ALLIANCE which as a result was steadied and lost ground. Also FANTASTIC GUY was inconvenienced. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported SUNRISE RAINBOW had sustained an injury to its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, SUNRISE RAINBOW will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Making the turn after the 800 Metres, PACIFIC ALLIANCE hung out. On straightening, SPECIFIC SORCEROR was carried wider by ABLE KNIGHT. After the 300 Metres, PACIFIC ALLIANCE was steadied and shifted to the outside of ELEPHANT DANCE to obtain clear running, then just prior to the winning post was again steadied and shifted to the outside of CHEERFUL HEART. After the 200 Metres, CHINSOLA was bumped and carried wider by FANTASTIC GUY which when closing the race off strongly was shifted to the outside of HAPPY FIT to continue going forward. LAZY BUDDIES was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LAZY BUDDIES after the race did not show any significant findings. BIG WINNER and FANTASTIC GUY were sent for sampling.
