Racing Incident Report

RIGHT CHOICE proved difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, RIGHT CHOICE will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. THE GOODIES and RIGHT CHOICE were slow to begin. HIGHWAY PATROL began awkwardly. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, RIGHT CHOICE was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SIXTY SECONDS (O Doleuze) which shifted in when not properly clear. O Doleuze was told to exercise greater care. After the 1000 Metres, AURELIAN got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of CHATER DE LAGO. In the early part of the Straight, POSA got its head up and hung in. At the 250 Metres, AURELIAN was steadied when momentarily crowded for room between CITY SURFER and CHATER DE LAGO which shifted out after being disappointed for running inside TIRAMISU. For some distance after the 200 Metres, CITY SURFER was steadied away from the heels of VITAL PATROL which was giving ground. Just prior to the winning post, O Doleuze became unbalanced as he endeavoured to straighten his mount which was commencing to shift in. For the major part of the race, MEATH travelled wide and without cover. The performance of HIGHWAY PATROL, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, HIGHWAY PATROL will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HIGHWAY PATROL and AURELIAN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of HIGHWAY PATROL and AURELIAN after the race did not show any significant findings. THE GOODIES and SUPER CHARGE were sent for sampling.
