Racing Incident Report

D Beadman (HAPPY SUNDAY) was fined $2,000 for failing to declare at the time of declarations that he would be probably 2 lb overweight. JADE DANCER, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 30.6.08 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore foot). Before being allowed to race again, JADE DANCER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SPLENDID SAILS, which was fractious in its stall, was slow to begin. FEEL-SO-GOOD was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, KEEN SOUL was taken back to a position with cover. After entering the Back Straight, BELIEVE ME got its head on the side, hung in and was steadied away from the heels of FEEL-SO-GOOD. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, RICH DRAGON raced tight inside VALUE CHOICE. After the 900 Metres, RICH DRAGON was steadied when crowded for room inside VALUE CHOICE which was awkwardly placed inside the heels of MAGIC KING which shifted in momentarily. MONTY hung out making the turn at the 600 Metres and was checked severely away from the heels of KEEN SOUL. FEEL-SO-GOOD was inconvenienced in consequence. After this, MONTY continued to race ungenerously and finished tailed out. Before being permitted to race again, MONTY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. At the 150 Metres and again near the 50 Metres, MARVELLOUS and RICH DRAGON bumped. About 30 Metres prior to the winning post, FUN was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of MAGIC KING. MONTY was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of MONTY after the race did not show any significant findings. MARVELLOUS and MAGIC KING were sent for sampling.
