Racing Incident Report

Mr T W Leung, trainer of FORTUNE PUG, was fined $2,000 for failing to ensure he or his representative was present at the scale at the time B Doyle weighed out. SHAXI BABY was slow to begin. HOLD YOUR BOW began awkwardly. FORTUNE PUG was a little slow to begin and lost further ground when awkwardly placed between PALAIS D’OR and MOON CHASER. C K Tong (EXCELLENT ELITE) reported on jumping his saddle shifted back which placed him at some disadvantage in riding his mount out throughout the race. After the 600 Metres, EXCELLENT ELITE was checked when crowded for room between PAR EXCELLENCE and LEAD THE PROSPECTS, both of which shifted ground. No action was taken. Near the 300 Metres, FORTUNE PUG was steadied and shifted in away from the heels of GUAN DAO which shifted out while hanging. After this, GUAN DAO continued to hang out in the run to the line. PAR EXCELLENCE was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of PAR EXCELLENCE after the race did not show any significant findings. MOON CHASER and DANZULU were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FORTUNE PUG had bled from both nostrils.
