Racing Incident Report

After arriving at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to JOLLY BIRD was refitted. OLYMPICSHIP began awkwardly, bumped the inside gate of its stall, then shifted further and bumped SUPER GENKI which as a result lost ground. MYSTERIOUS was slow to begin. VICTORY MASCOT was slow to begin, then lost further ground when being steadied away from the heels of JOLLY BIRD which on jumping got its head on the side and shifted out. Shortly after the start, SPRING SMILES after bumping with BOBO WIN shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY TYCOON which shifted in. From the outside barrier, TRIUMPH was allowed to drift back in the early stages. At the 1600 Metres, BOBO WIN was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY TYCOON which shifted in when barely clear. At the 1500 Metres, CLASSIC REUNION was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY TYCOON which steadied in front. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, JOLLY BIRD was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY TYCOON which was carried in by CLASSA SUPREME which shifted ground when not quite clear. After the 800 Metres, OLYMPICSHIP became unbalanced and shifted in while being crowded for room between JOLLY BIRD and BOBO WIN (D Whyte) which shifted in slightly. D Whyte was told to exercise care. Near the 400 Metres, VICTORY MASCOT was checked and shifted out away from the heels of MYSTERIOUS which was giving ground. Shortly after entering the Home Straight, D Whyte dropped his whip. At the 100 Metres, TRIUMPH was momentarily steadied when having difficulty obtaining clear running between LUCKY TYCOON and BULB TREASURE, then in the run to the line improved into a narrow run between those horses. In the run to the line, LUCKY TYCOON raced tight inside TRIUMPH and because of this was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. JOLLY BIRD was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of JOLLY BIRD after the race did not show any significant findings. CLASSIC REUNION, SUPER GENKI and BOBO WIN were sent for sampling.
