Racing Incident Report

At the time of weighing out, Mr K L Tsui, assistant trainer to Mr A T Millard, the trainer of GO STITCH, was not present at the scale to collect the saddle of O Doleuze. Mr Millard is currently absent from Home Hong and had delegated his authority to Mr Tsui. It was noted Mr Tsui had failed in this responsibility previously. As the person responsible for the work of the stable staff allocated to him, Mr Millard was fined $3,000 for Mr Tsui failing to be present at the time of weighing out as required. Mr Tsui was told that a report on this matter will be sent to Stables Management for their consideration. ODE TO JOY began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped LIGHTNING SUCCESS. On jumping, OUR LUCKY BABY, TAKE IT EASY and AMAZING FLYER were crowded for room outside ELITE SIXTY-SIX which began awkwardly and shifted ground. Shortly after the start, ZABEEL TREASURE became unbalanced and lost its position when crowded for room between BLUE MAGIC and KEEP GOING which shifted out after being bumped by DON RICARDO. In the early stages, from the outside barrier, AMNESTY was taken back. Approaching the 800 Metres, AMNESTY was hampered and carried wider by KEEP GOING which when hanging out was steadied away from the heels of BLUE MAGIC. At the 700 Metres, AMNESTY was bumped heavily on two occasions by KEEP GOING which was continuing to race greenly and at this time shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of OUR LUCKY BABY. No action was taken. Approaching the 600 Metres, TAKE IT EASY commenced to hang out. In the middle stages, GUAN DAO hung out. For some distance approaching and passing the 600 Metres, OUR LUCKY BABY got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ELITE SIXTY-SIX, then on straightening when having difficulty obtaining clear running was bumped by AMNESTY. At the 250 Metres, OUR LUCKY BABY, which was again having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied when awkwardly placed between BLUE MAGIC and GUAN DAO which shifted out slightly. Also at the 250 Metres, GO STITCH, which was commencing to give ground, became unbalanced when momentarily tightened for room inside AMAZING FLYER which improved into a narrow run on the inside of TAKE IT EASY which had its head on the side and shifted in slightly. No action was taken. After the 200 Metres, TAKE IT EASY, which was commencing to give ground, was steadied when tightened for room between AMAZING FLYER and KINGSTON WINNER which shifted in. No action was taken. Also after the 200 Metres, Z Purton (AMNESTY) dropped his whip. At the 50 Metres, KEEP GOING, BLUE MAGIC and ODE TO JOY were hampered and carried wider by LIGHTNING SUCCESS which when improving towards the outside of TAKE IT EASY shifted out abruptly. No action was taken. Also at the 50 Metres, KINGSTON WINNER was momentarily steadied away from the heels of ELITE SIXTY-SIX which shifted in when barely clear. Over the concluding stages, AMAZING FLYER hung out. ELITE SIXTY-SIX and AMAZING FLYER were sent for sampling.
