Racing Incident Report

While in the holding stalls, REDHILL COMMANDER had its right hind plate reset. REDHILL COMMANDER was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. TELECOM EMPEROR began awkwardly and blundered. On jumping, REDHILL COMMANDER and MOUNT SURPLUS bumped. Shortly after the start, MASTER OF SHAVERS, which was being taken back, was steadied when crowded for room between TELECOM EMPEROR which shifted in and TAKE IT EASY which shifted out slightly after bumping with MAXIMUM CHARM. At the 950 Metres, REDHILL COMMANDER was checked severely when crowded for room between MOUNT SURPLUS which was carried in by FIRST DEGREE and PALIO KING which was carried out by SHINING DRAGON. In this incident, MOUNT SURPLUS was crowded for room and steadied. Shortly after straightening, MAXIMUM CHARM was steadied and shifted to the outside of MOUNT SURPLUS to obtain clear running. Near the 250 Metres, MOUNT SURPLUS got its head on the side, shifted in and was steadied away from the heels of TAKE IT EASY. Throughout the race, ACTUARIAL TALENT and OPTIC KING travelled wide and without cover. OPTIC KING and TELECOM EMPEROR were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of OPTIC KING and TELECOM EMPEROR after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER SPECIAL and MAXIMUM CHARM were sent for sampling.
