Racing Incident Report

TREASURE HUNT was withdrawn on 29.12.09 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter OSCAR PRINCE. Before being allowed to race again, TREASURE HUNT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EAST RIDER was slow to begin. TIBIDABO began awkwardly. Shortly after the start, SEIZE THE DAY blundered and GIANT BLIZZARD raced tight inside AMERICAN GLORY. Also shortly after the start, SHATIN TREASURE was bumped by CHEERFUL HAPPINESS which shifted in after making contact with FORTUNE GALLOP. After this, SHATIN TREASURE was ridden along, however, failed to muster speed and was taken across behind runners. Near the 1200 Metres, SEIZE THE DAY was steadied away from the heels of SPICY FRUITY (C W Wong) which shifted in when not properly clear. C W Wong was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground. Approaching the 1000 Metres, GIANT BLIZZARD shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of AMERICAN GLORY. In the early part of the Straight, MASTER TOWER hung in and proved difficult to ride. After this, MASTER TOWER commenced to give ground. At the 200 Metres, TIBIDABO, which was commencing to give ground, was momentarily crowded for room between OSCAR PRINCE and SO PRETTY SO SMART which shifted out after initially being taken out by MASTER TOWER. Passing the 100 Metres, OSCAR PRINCE was momentarily crowded for room between FORTUNE GALLOP and CRUSH ON YOU which shifted out. Over the concluding stages, SO PRETTY SO SMART raced in restricted room between AMERICAN GLORY and HIGH NOTE. Because of this, SO PRETTY SO SMART was not ridden out in the run to the line as it normally would be. A veterinary inspection of TIBIDABO and MASTER TOWER after the race did not show any significant findings. SO PRETTY SO SMART, SPICY FRUITY and HIGH NOTE were sent for sampling.
