Racing Incident Report

After being loaded, KUNG HEI FAT CHOI became fractious and reared, resulting in C W Wong being dislodged. In this incident, the saddle shifted. KUNG HEI FAT CHOI was removed from the barriers, re-saddled and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said, in his opinion, it was suitable to race. Before being allowed to race again, KUNG HEI FAT CHOI will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. SKY WALKER began awkwardly and was then bumped by TOP DRAGON, resulting in SKY WALKER shifting out and bumping the hindquarters of NOT QUITE PERFECT. MAKE IT was slow to begin. Near the 1100 Metres, SUPER GENTLEMAN, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SKY WALKER. Near the 900 Metres, SKY WALKER shifted out away from the heels of NOT QUITE PERFECT which at this time was steadied. After the 700 metres, SKY WALKER was then left racing without cover. COOL CAT travelled wide and without cover until passing the 700 Metres at which time it shifted in to a two wide position. Near the 500 Metres, SUPER GENTLEMAN was checked when attempting a run between NOT QUITE PERFECT and CHANTILLY where there was insufficient room. When SUPER GENTLEMAN was checked, AMAZING FORTUNE, which was following, was checked in consequence, shifted out and made contact with KUNG HEI FAT CHOI. At the same time, WO AI NINN was steadied away from the heels of KOENIGSBERG. At the entrance to the Straight, NOT QUITE PERFECT shifted out and bumped CHANTILLY which became unbalanced. Close to the finishing line, AMAZING FORTUNE was steadied to avoid the heels of MAKE IT which shifted in. A veterinary inspection of ELECTRONIC MASTER, which finished tailed out, after the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, ELECTRONIC MASTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of NOT QUITE PERFECT after the race did not show any significant findings. TOP DRAGON, WO AI NINN and MAKE IT were sent for sampling.
