Racing Incident Report

SOMETHING SPECIAL proved difficult to load. As SOMETHING SPECIAL has performed in a similar manner previously, that horse will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial before being allowed to race again. After being loaded, MOUNT VICTORY became fractious. Before being allowed to race again, MOUNT VICTORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. From the outside barrier, MY WAY was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Approaching the 1500 Metres, TRAVEL GUIDE was momentarily crowded for room between ZEZAO and MR SPEEDY which shifted in. MR SPEEDY was immediately corrected by its rider. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, CLASSIC ENERGY was steadied away from the heels of MOUNT VICTORY. The performance of MR SPEEDY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, MR SPEEDY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of CLASSIC ENERGY after the race did not show any significant findings. ZEZAO, TRAVEL GUIDE and NEW LEADER were sent for sampling.
