Racing Incident Report
HUA SHI and JUST GOOD were slow to begin. At the start, YOUNG SUPREME was steadied and became unbalanced when crowded for room between KINGSTON ELITE and SPEED RACER which got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly. Near the 1300 Metres, MISTER HORSE was steadied away from the heels of FORTUNE BUNNY which itself was steadied when racing in restricted room between KOENIGSBERG and YOUNG SUPREME. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, SPEED RACER got its head on the side and hung out. Near the 1150 Metres, YOUNG SUPREME got its head up when crowded for room inside KINGSTON ELITE (W M Lai) which shifted in. FORTUNE BUNNY, which was following, was checked away from the heels of YOUNG SUPREME as a consequence. W M Lai was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he leaves sufficient racing room for runners to his inside in future. Approaching and passing the 600 Metres, FORTUNE BUNNY became unbalanced when bumped on a number of occasions by MISTER HORSE (Z Purton) which shifted out from behind KINGSTON ELITE to improve its position. Z Purton was advised to exercise care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Approaching the 500 Metres, KINGSTON ELITE was momentarily crowded for room between YOUNG SUPREME and JOLLY WONGCHOY which shifted out slightly. Shortly after entering the Straight, KINGSTON ELITE was shifted to the inside of YOUNG SUPREME when disappointed for running to the outside of that horse and inside MISTER HORSE. Passing the 200 Metres, FORTUNE BUNNY was awkwardly placed outside the heels of HUA SHI which shifted ground slightly. A veterinary inspection of JOLLY WONGCHOY after the race did not show any significant findings other than the horse had sustained a superficial wound to the inside of the right hind cannon, however, an endoscopic examination was unable to be conducted. KINGSTON ELITE, YOUNG SUPREME and REAL DRAGON were sent for sampling.
