Racing Incident Report

DR SUPER was withdrawn on 28.5.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter NORDIC ONE (T H So). Before being allowed to race again, DR SUPER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
SUNNY FAY began only fairly.
MASQUERADER was crowded for room at the start between PRETTY ONE and CHOICE TREASURE which shifted in.
After the 1000 Metres, SUNNY FAY raced tight between ALL WIN BOY and ORIENTAL FANTASIA.
Approaching the 400 Metres, MASQUERADER got its head on the side, shifted out and made the Home Turn awkwardly.
After the 150 Metres, CHOICE TREASURE raced in restricted room between SUNNY FAY and MASQUERADER which shifted out slightly.
When questioned, D Whyte stated that TARZAN I AM did not begin as well as it did at its only other race start in Hong Kong and therefore he was obliged to ride the horse along from barrier 9 to take up a forward position as instructed. He said he had to make use of TARZAN I AM to cross runners to his inside and it was not until near the 700 Metres that he was able to shift in and race outside the lead. He said considering the amount of work that TARZAN I AM did in the early stages, he felt that the performance of the horse was good under the circumstances. A veterinary inspection of TARZAN I AM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

TARZAN I AM, NORDIC ONE and NEW GLORY were sent for sampling.
