Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the barriers, the tongue tie carried by SAMADHI was refitted.
LOVELY BOY began awkwardly and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of JUN HAO which, after initially being taken out slightly by NOVEL START, got its head on the side and shifted out further.
From the outside barrier, AMAZING TREASURE was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
CREATIVE UNION and STEP HIGH were also taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Rounding the Home Turn, NOVEL START was awkwardly placed close to the heels of RED COURAGE. Then in the early part of the Straight, NOVEL START was again awkwardly placed inside the heels of RED COURAGE.
LOVELY BOY had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and approaching the 200 Metres was shifted in away from the heels of SAMADHI to obtain clear running.
For a considerable distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, NOVEL START raced in restricted room inside RED COURAGE (T Angland). T Angland was advised to ensure that he leaves sufficient room for runners to his inside wherever possible. Then near the 100 Metres, NOVEL START was steadied when unable to maintain its position inside RED COURAGE which got its head on the side and shifted in after racing tight inside CREATIVE UNION.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that HAPPY HOMING had lost its left front plate.
A veterinary inspection of NOVEL START immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LOVELY BOY, JADE CHRISTY and HAPPY HOMING were sent for sampling.
