Racing Incident Report

As the start was effected, ALL TIMES LUCKY, which was fractious in the barriers, lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently lost ground.
P J HALL was crowded for room at the start between RISING POWER which shifted in and KING DERBY which was bumped by STAR OF WAI BO. A short distance later, P J HALL was steadied when unable to maintain its position between KING DERBY and RISING POWER.
From the outside barrier, FRESH AIR was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
After being ridden along in the early stages, SERENDIPITY, when racing wide, was taken across behind runners approaching the 1000 Metres to obtain cover. When being taken back approaching the 1000 Metres, SERENDIPITY was momentarily crowded for room between PALEPALE and HIGH RETURN which shifted in despite the efforts of its rider, Apprentice C Y Lui.
Also approaching the 1000 Metres, STAR OF WAI BO was momentarily steadied away from the heels of RED COURAGE (T Angland) which shifted in. After this, STAR OF WAI BO got its head on the side, shifted out towards the heels of CHINA POWER and lost ground. T Angland was advised to ensure that he provides sufficient clearance when shifting ground in future.
Approaching and passing the 800 Metres, RISING POWER was awkwardly placed inside the heels of PALEPALE.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, KING DERBY lost ground after shifting out towards the heels of RISING POWER.
Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, P J HALL was awkwardly placed inside the heels of KING DERBY.
At the entrance to the Straight, RISING POWER was shifted in after being disappointed for running between STAR OF WAI BO and PALEPALE. RISING POWER then had difficulty obtaining clear running until near the 200 Metres.
For the majority of the race, HIGH RETURN travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
Throughout the race, PALEPALE also travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of RISING POWER and ALL TIMES LUCKY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
RISING POWER, CHINA POWER and RED COURAGE were sent for sampling.
