Racing Incident Report

ALMIGHTY SUN began awkwardly and was hampered after shifting out towards the heels of MIGHT AND VISION.
STORM UNICORN was slow to begin.
LINMANIA got its head on the side, shifted out at the start and in doing so bumped ETERNAL GAINS.
In the early stages, BRAVE BROTHER got its head on the side, shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside STARS CHASER. After this, BRAVE BROTHER continued to race with its head on the side and lay out.
After the 500 Metres, MIGHT AND VISION was steadied away from the heels of LINMANIA which shifted in after being brushed by ALMIGHTY SUN.
After the 400 Metres, SOLAR SPIRIT was awkwardly placed outside the heels of LOVELY BOY which was inclined to shift out under pressure. SOLAR SPIRIT continued to race in restricted room outside LOVELY BOY for some distance after this.
Passing the 250 Metres, STARS CHASER was steadied away from the heels of BRAVE BROTHER which got its head on the side and shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of DIVINE TEN.
Approaching the 200 Metres, TRAVEL MASTER shifted out abruptly under pressure, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
For the majority of the race, ALMIGHTY SUN got its head on the side, hung in and proved difficult to ride. The racing manners of ALMIGHTY SUN were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ALMIGHTY SUN will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial.
When pulling up after the race, M L Yeung was dislodged from TRAVEL MASTER. M L Yeung was examined by the Club's doctors and passed fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.
When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of LINMANIA, O Doleuze stated that in its two trials in preparation for tonight's race, the horse had shown good early speed. He said tonight after being fractious in the barriers, LINMANIA did not show the same speed and had to be ridden along in the early stages to take up a forward position. He said LINMANIA raced greenly throughout the race and after coming off the bridle after the 600 Metres had to be vigorously ridden in an attempt to maintain its position. He said however that LINMANIA continued to race greenly and gave ground abruptly over the latter stages of the race. He added after the race he recommended to Mr C W Chang, the trainer of LINMANIA, to consider a change of gear for the horse as, in his opinion, it did not race tractably when wearing pacifiers. A veterinary inspection of LINMANIA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of LINMANIA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, LINMANIA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
DIVINE TEN and BRAVE BROTHER were sent for sampling.
