Racing Incident Report

WITHINMYHEART and IMPERIAL ROME were slow to begin.
SUPER FRESH began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, TAI SING YEH and GOLDEN HARVEST were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Near the 1000 Metres, TAI SING YEH was checked when crowded for room between WITHINMYHEART and CAPE CANAVERAL (G Mosse) which, after initially being clear of TAI SING YEH, shifted in as that horse improved its position to be racing inside CAPE CANAVERAL. G Mosse was reprimanded and advised that whilst there were some circumstances to this incident, nonetheless he must ensure that he exercises due care when shifting ground.
Throughout the race, PERFECT FINISH travelled wide and after the 600 Metres was left racing without cover.
At the entrance to the Straight, SUPER FRESH was shifted to the inside of IMPERIAL CHAMPION when disappointed for running between that horse and CAPE CANAVERAL.
Approaching and passing the 300 Metres, GOLDEN HARVEST was held up when disappointed for running between TAI SING YEH and WITHINMYHEART. GOLDEN HARVEST was then shifted to the inside of WITHINMYHEART to obtain running to the inside of that horse. At the same time, IMPERIAL ROME was shifted out to obtain clear running from behind IMPERIAL CHAMPION. This resulted in GOLDEN HARVEST making heavy contact with the hindquarters of IMPERIAL ROME, causing that horse to become badly unbalanced and for GOLDEN HARVEST to be checked when disappointed for running between IMPERIAL ROME and WITHINMYHEART. Then after the 200 Metres, GOLDEN HARVEST was shifted to the outside of WITHINMYHEART to obtain clear running.
After the 150 Metres, LEADING CITY was crowded for room inside CAPE CANAVERAL which shifted in under pressure. G Mosse was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he straightens his mounts in similar circumstances.
After the race, M L Yeung (SICHUAN CHARM) reported that his saddle shifted back in the early stages, placing him at a slight disadvantage for the remainder of the race.
A veterinary inspection of TAI SING YEH and IMPERIAL CHAMPION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLDEN HARVEST and SICHUAN CHARM were sent for sampling.
