Racing Incident Report

TAKE THE RAP began awkwardly and shortly after the start blundered.
Shortly after the start, LOTUS LOVE and RECORD AGAIN bumped.
From a wide barrier, GOOD TIMES ROLL was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
When being taken across behind runners in the early stages, LA COTE DE BLEU made contact with ENJOY THE FUN. A short distance later, LA COTE DE BLEU became unbalanced after being bumped by ENJOY THE FUN which shifted out.
Also in the early stages, TAKE THE RAP proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions.
TRIUMPHANT DRAGON got its head on the side and lay out making the Home Turn.
Passing the 350 Metres, TRIUMPHANT DRAGON was hampered when awkwardly placed inside the heels of CITY DELIGHT which shifted in. AFRICA LIGHT was inconvenienced in consequence.
GOLDEN OSMANTHUS was momentarily held up for clear running approaching the 300 Metres and near the 250 Metres was steadied when briefly crowded for room between TAKE THE RAP and P J HALL which shifted out.
Near the 150 Metres, CITY DELIGHT was bumped by TRIUMPHANT DRAGON which got its head on the side and shifted out.
Throughout the race, CITY DELIGHT travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, N Callan reported that GORGEOUS LIFE travelled too keenly in the early stages when racing inside P J HALL. He said as the horse did not settle satisfactorily, GORGEOUS LIFE was then not able to travel comfortably and weakened in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of GORGEOUS LIFE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of GOOD TIMES ROLL immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, GOOD TIMES ROLL will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that CLEMENT SPIRIT had bled from both nostrils.
GOLDEN OSMANTHUS and LOTUS LOVE were sent for sampling.
