Racing Incident Report
The Veterinary Officer reported that CHOICE TREASURE lost its left front glue-on Equilox plate whilst being saddled. As a glue-on plate is not permitted to be refitted within two hours of the race, the Veterinary Officer, in consultation with Trainer C H Yip and the Head Farrier, fitted a standard plate to the horse. CHOICE TREASURE was trotted up and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. Mr Yip was also satisfied with the action of CHOICE TREASURE. On arrival at the Start, CHOICE TREASURE was again trotted up and found to be suitable to race.
Shortly after the start, REGENCY LUCK raced in restricted room between CHOICE TREASURE and CHEERS JOY which shifted out.
WEALTHY FORTUNE was crowded for room at the start between SMART MAN and CHEETAH BOY which got its head on the side and lay out. CHEETAH BOY continued to lay out for the remainder of the race.
Passing the 100 Metres, ACCESS YEARS got its head on the side, shifted out and bumped MASTER KOCHANWONG, taking that horse wider.
Having in mind the neck margin between ACCESS YEARS and MASTER KOCHANWONG (M Chadwick) and the manner in which ACCESS YEARS was finishing off the race, the Stewards did not raise the inquiry sign after the race and no protest/objection was subsequently lodged by M Chadwick.
The performance of VITAL PRINCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, VITAL PRINCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, K Teetan (SMART MAN) reported that the horse did not feel comfortable in its action at any stage of the race. A veterinary inspection of SMART MAN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that TURIN PEARL was lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, TURIN PEARL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
ACCESS YEARS and MASTER KOCHANWONG were sent for sampling.
