Racing Incident Report

ST YAZIN began only fairly and shortly after the start was crowded for room between FORMULA WON and NOBLE BOY which shifted in.
RIYADH began awkwardly.
From wide barriers, FORGIVE AND FORGET and AMAZINGLY were taken across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, ST YAZIN shifted out abruptly, became unbalanced and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of LUNAR RISE.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, KOKODA got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of EMPEROR CLAUDIUS.
Both FORGIVE AND FORGET and AMAZINGLY lost their respective left front plates after the 800 Metres.
Making the turn near the 600 Metres, KOKODA raced tight inside EMPEROR CLAUDIUS which got its head on the side and lay in.
At the entrance to the Straight, JUN GONG, which was inclined to lay in, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EMPEROR CLAUDIUS when being shifted to the outside of that horse. Approaching the 250 Metres, JUN GONG, which continued to race with its head on the side, shifted in after being bumped by FORMULA WON and made contact with the hindquarters of EMPEROR CLAUDIUS. JUN GONG then raced tight between EMPEROR CLAUDIUS and FORMULA WON.
At the 300 Metres, ST YAZIN became unbalanced when initially reluctant to improve its position into tight running inside GRIMMY. ST YAZIN then raced awkwardly as it established its position inside GRIMMY.
In the Straight, EMPEROR CLAUDIUS hung in and proved very difficult to ride and close to the finishing line shifted in and bumped AMAZINGLY.
A veterinary inspection of GRIMMY immediately following the race revealed the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, GRIMMY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of ST YAZIN immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, ST YAZIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
FORMULA WON and NOBLE BOY were sent for sampling.

<2/5/2014 Additional Veterinary Reports>ST YAZIN, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. ST YAZIN was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T K Ng yesterday morning. He said at this time he found the horse to be lame in its right hind leg. As previously advised, ST YAZIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
