Racing Incident Report

On entering the track, A Suborics was dislodged from DANEWIN WINNING without consequence.
On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to DRAGON ENERGY was refitted.
THOR THE GREATEST lost ground when crowded for room at the start between HIDDEN VALUE and CALIFORNIA ROCK which jumped out abruptly. In this incident, THOR THE GREATEST made heavy contact with the hindquarters of HIDDEN VALUE which became badly unbalanced.
UNIQUE HAPPIEST began awkwardly.
ZERO ENERGY ACT was slow to begin.
MELLIFLUENT and INCREDIBLE FELLOW bumped at the start, resulting in MELLIFLUENT becoming unbalanced and shifting out across the heels of GLORY HORSIE.
Throughout the race, SHINING CHAMPION (H Bowman) lay in and near the 350 Metres H Bowman dropped his whip.
Passing the 300 Metres, MELLIFLUENT was shifted to the outside of SHINING CHAMPION which continued to lay in.
Approaching the 200 Metres, DRAGON ENERGY got its head up and became unbalanced when racing outside MELLIFLUENT which shifted out slightly.
Approaching the 100 Metres, SHINING CHAMPION got its head on the side and shifted out away from INCREDIBLE FELLOW.
Near the 50 Metres, MELLIFLUENT was bumped by SHINING CHAMPION which became unbalanced after being bumped by INCREDIBLE FELLOW (O Doleuze) which shifted out. O Doleuze was advised that, in the opinion of the Stewards, he should have stopped riding and straightened his mount sooner than he did on this occasion.
A veterinary inspection of HIDDEN VALUE immediately following the race found blood to be present at the right nostril. An endoscopic examination was conducted on HIDDEN VALUE with the Veterinary Officer reporting that there was no blood in the horse’s trachea and accordingly HIDDEN VALUE was not deemed to have bled. The Veterinary Officer also reported that HIDDEN VALUE had sustained a wound to the outside of the right foreleg.
YAT DING WIN, INCREDIBLE FELLOW and MELLIFLUENT were sent for sampling.
