Racing Incident Report

SICHUAN DAR was slow to begin.
TASHIDELEK began awkwardly.
From the outside barrier, SPLENDOUR AND GOLD was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
XIANG BAI QI was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, PARTY TOGETHER got its head up on a number of occasions when proving difficult to settle and awkwardly placed behind GIANT TURTLE.
Passing the 900 Metres, TASHIDELEK became unbalanced when bumped and taken wider by CHEFANO (Z Purton) which shifted out to improve. Z Purton was severely reprimanded and told that whilst the Stewards appreciate competitive riding, nonetheless he must ensure that his movements do not come at the detriment of another runner. He was further advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
After the 200 Metres, when improving into tight running between PARTY TOGETHER and CHEFANO, XIANG BAI QI was struck over the nose by the whip of Z Purton.
After the race, Apprentice K H Chan was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of TASHIDELEK. He said the horse came under pressure a long way from the finish and then did not close off the race. A veterinary inspection of TASHIDELEK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
XIANG BAI QI and CHEFANO were sent for sampling.
