Racing Incident Report

LEGENDARY HERO began very awkwardly and lost ground at the start.
UNDEFEATED began awkwardly.
Soon after the start, BLINK OF A SECOND shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of THE SHOW.
From wide barriers, GORGEOUS INHERITOR and XPONENTIAL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages to obtain cover.
When being steadied approaching the first turn, WAR LORD got its head up and raced ungenerously. WAR LORD was subsequently left racing wide and without cover.
POWER KING was also obliged to race wide and without cover from the 900 Metres.
Approaching the first turn at the 900 Metres, BEST FOR YOU got its head up and raced keenly when awkwardly placed near the heels of WAR LORD.
At the 850 Metres, LEGENDARY HERO got its head up for a short distance and raced ungenerously and subsequently finished tailed out. A veterinary inspection of LEGENDARY HERO immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, LEGENDARY HERO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Near the 250 Metres, BLINK OF A SECOND shifted out and made contact with the hindquarters of METHANE, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. A Badel reported that after this incident METHANE felt very awkward in its action and as a consequence he did not test the horse over the final stages of the race. A veterinary inspection of METHANE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, METHANE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Over the concluding stages, FANTASY (B Shinn) shifted out and made contact with COLORADO HIGH. Then approaching the finishing line, COLORADO HIGH became unbalanced and shifted out further, resulting in WAR LORD being inconvenienced. As a consequence, WAR LORD was not ridden out to the end of the race. B Shinn was reprimanded and told that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts.
A veterinary inspection of GORGEOUS INHERITOR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
XPONENTIAL and FANTASY were sent for sampling.
<23/12/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>LEGENDARY HERO, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. LEGENDARY HERO was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P O'Sullivan yesterday morning. He said at that time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, LEGENDARY HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
