Racing Incident Report

As the start was effected, MASTER ROMAN lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently was slow to begin.
KEEP GOING began awkwardly and lost ground.
From the outside barriers, GOLDEN GENERAL, STARLOT and REEVE’S MUNTJAC were all steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, GALAXY RACER got its head up when being shifted across the heels of GREAT SMART to obtain cover.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, GALAXY RACER and MASTER ROMAN bumped.
Near the 1150 Metres, GALAXY RACER again got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind GOOD CHOICE AHEAD.
Passing the 800 Metres, REEVE’S MUNTJAC was checked away from the heels of GREAT SMART which was awkwardly placed behind STARLOT.
Approaching the 200 Metres, GALAXY RACER shifted out and bumped STARLOT, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
Near the 50 Metres, ART OF RAW was shifted in away from the heels of WINNERS BROTHER which drifted in under pressure.
After the race, Apprentice K H Chan reported that KA YING BRILLIANCE travelled satisfactorily in the early and middle stages, however, when placed under pressure rounding the Home Turn did not quicken as he anticipated. He said after momentarily racing tight between ART OF RAW and WINNERS BROTHER which improved around the outside of KA YING BRILLIANCE, his mount immediately came under pressure and then did not finish off the race. A veterinary inspection of KA YING BRILLIANCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of REEVE’S MUNTJAC immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer’ which had previously been reported.
GALAXY RACER, BREAK RECORD and WINNERS BROTHER were sent for sampling.
