Racing Incident Report

Pla. Horse No. Horse Incident
2 SECOND TO NONE (H319) Approaching the 200 Metres was shifted out to improve between AFFIRM and WAR OF COURAGE. When both AFFIRM and WAR OF COURAGE shifted ground slightly, SECOND TO NONE had some difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance thereafter and brushed WAR OF COURAGE. Sent for sampling post-race.
14 AFFIRM (H306) Sent for sampling post-race.
11 WINNING GOLD (H461) No report.
3 WAR OF COURAGE (C483) Bumped shortly after the start. Brushed near the 200 Metres.
9 LUCKY FIONN (J047) On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie applied to LUCKY FIONN was refitted. Bumped after the 400 Metres.
1 SKY HEART (J092) When questioned, B Shinn stated that from a wide barrier he was given no specific instructions as to where to settle his mount. He said after SKY HEART began well, he rode his mount forward in an endeavour to maintain his position but when a number of runners to his inside showed intent on holding a more forward position, he elected to come back and follow TOP PEAK. He added his decision to obtain cover was influenced by the fact that he would have had to make too much use of his mount to cross runners to his inside and that SKY HEART was up in weight and in distance today and this may have resulted in his mount left without a finishing effort. B Shinn further stated that after obtaining cover behind TOP PEAK, SKY HEART travelled well, but disappointed in the Home Straight in that it failed to respond strongly to his riding when placed under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race.
5 SOARING BRONCO (J162) After the 500 Metres endeavoured to improve into a narrow run between WAR OF COURAGE and TOP PEAK and as a result made contact with the hindquarters of TOP PEAK, resulting in TOP PEAK shifting in and crowding SOARING BRONCO.
7 TRAVEL GOLF (H063) Noted to have sustained a laceration to the left hind leg after the race.
6 FIGHT TIME (H409) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded. Held up for clear running from the 450 Metres and then shifted to the outside of SKY HEART after the 400 Metres to obtain clear running. When being shifted out, FIGHT TIME made contact with LUCKY FIONN. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out to the finish when held up behind SKY HEART and LUCKY FIONN.
4 GOOD GOOD (J224) After the race, R Moore stated that after his mount jumped awkwardly and lost ground, he was obliged to make use of GOOD GOOD throughout the early and middle stages to hold his position. He said in the Home Straight GOOD GOOD finished the race off in a one-paced manner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
8 CHATER GOLD (J004) No report.
10 TOP PEAK (H441) After the 500 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
13 CIRCUIT NINE (G140) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) Crowded shortly after the start by WAR OF COURAGE which shifted in. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
