Racing Incident Report

VITAL FLYER was withdrawn on 3.3.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter LONDON CHINA TOWN (T Angland). Before being allowed to race again, VITAL FLYER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CHEETAH BOY was difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, CHEETAH BOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. CHEETAH BOY began awkwardly. ARRIVED AHEAD and FREDERICK ENGELS bumped at the start. Over the final 300 Metres, CALIFORNIA CHOICE got its head on the side and lay out. After passing the 300 Metres, LONDON CHINA TOWN was badly held up for clear running until near the 100 Metres at which time the horse was shifted to the inside of ORIENTAL PROSPER. After this, LONDON CHINA TOWN lay out under pressure. A veterinary inspection of FREDERICK ENGELS after the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of CHARITY SPIRIT after the race did not reveal any significant findings other than the horse had sustained a small wound to the inside of the left hind heel. GO BABY GO and SIR EAGLES were sent for sampling.
