Racing Incident Report

When in the holding stables, BORN IN CHINA was found to have sustained a wound to the outside of the right hock. BORN IN CHINA was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
PREMIERE and BORN IN CHINA bumped at the start.
From the outside barrier, ARCHIPPUS was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Rounding the Home Turn, HIGH FIVE was checked away from the heels of ADVENTURER. BULLISH SMART, which was following, was hampered in consequence.
Passing the 100 Metres, FLYING TOURBILLON was shifted in away from the heels of HIGH FIVE.
Throughout the race, COUNTRY MELODY travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, T Berry (SEA JADE) stated that his mount became unbalanced in its action over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection of SEA JADE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of ADVENTURER immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, ADVENTURER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
PREMIERE and BORN IN CHINA were sent for sampling.
