Racing Incident Report

EASY WINNER was withdrawn on 1.3.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore). MENTOR was withdrawn on 3.3.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality/mild fever) Before being allowed to race again, EASY WINNER and MENTOR will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination. As N Callan was unable to fulfil the engagement on SECRETARY OF STATE due to being overweight, U Rispoli was substituted as the rider of that horse. N Callan was fined the sum of $5,000. Whilst parading, U Rispoli was dislodged from SECRETARY OF STATE when that horse became fractious. SECRETARY OF STATE and VIVA FREEDOM were slow to begin. From the outside barrier, FLASH KNIGHT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Throughout the race, MARK UP travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of VIVA FREEDOM after the race did not show any significant findings. WAH MAY STAR and FLASH KNIGHT were sent for sampling.
