2 11 YOUNG CHAMPION (J195) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 6 BRAVE STAR (G268) In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance leaving the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid STORM RIDER.
4 8 REGAL GEM (K258) Making the Home Turn and in the early stages of the Home Straight made contact with STORM RIDER when that horse was shifted to the outside of BABY CRYSTAL to improve.
5 7 SON PAK FU (G265) No report.
6 9 YOUTHFUL SPIRITS (J082) Near the 150 Metres shifted out and as a result was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEAUTY WAVES.
7 2 STORM RIDER (J027) Making the Home Turn and in the early stages of the Home Straight raced tight between REGAL GEM and BABY CRYSTAL which was giving ground. As a result STORM RIDER made contact with REGAL GEM on a number of occasions. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race.
8 3 INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301) No report.
9 5 CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262) Jumped only fairly.
10 10 BABY CRYSTAL (H081) Lunged forward just prior to the start being effected, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. H Bentley reported that his mount came under pressure making the Home Turn and when he was concerned there might be something amiss he did not ride it out to the finish of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of BABY CRYSTAL was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, BABY CRYSTAL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. <5/2/2026 Additional Veterinary Report> BABY CRYSTAL, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. BABY CRYSTAL was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer B Crawford this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, BABY CRYSTAL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
WV-A 4 MAGIC CONTROL (J333) Prior to the start being effected lunged forward, made heavy contact with the front of the starting gates, resulting in its starting gate opening and the horse breaking through before being quickly restrained. Acting on veterinary advice that MAGIC CONTROL was not suitable to race the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, MAGIC CONTROL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WV-A 12 ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) Prior to the start being effected lunged forward, made heavy contact with the front of the starting gates, resulting in its starting gate opening and the horse breaking through before being quickly restrained. Acting on veterinary advice that ALL OUT FOR SIX was not suitable to race the horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, ALL OUT FOR SIX will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
