Racing Incident Report

1 4 RED BRICK WARRIOR (K580) Over the final 200 Metres lay out under pressure and as a result shifted out in the Home Straight when being corrected by C L Chau. When questioned regarding the horse leading Mr D Eustace stated that RED BRICK WARRIOR has a tendency to be slowly away in its races. He said he had worked with the starting gate team to assist the horse in commencing better from the starting gates and as a result the intention was to hold a more forward position than its previous race starts, but he did not expect the horse to show sufficient pace to lead the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) Approaching the 1400 Metres commenced to race keenly and got its head up when being shifted in to obtain cover behind KOLACHI. Trainer D A Hayes confirmed that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after obtaining cover behind KOLACHI in the early stages ORIENTAL SURPRISE was obliged to settle further back in the field when SUPER SICARIO and TO INFINITY continued forward. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 WINDICATOR FAMILY (H419) Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
4 6 ALL ARE MINE (H293) Shortly after the start made contact with TO INFINITY. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
5 3 SOARING BRONCO (J162) No report.
6 1 SUPER SICARIO (K306) Raced wide and without cover until near the 800 Metres.
7 12 PERFECT PAIRING (J331) Bumped shortly after the start.
8 7 CIRCUIT DUFFY (J501) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 8 TELECOM POWER (J332) Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by WINDICATOR FAMILY which shifted out despite the efforts of its rider. Held up making the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TELECOM POWER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
10 9 KOLACHI (J395) For some distance approaching the 1000 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to avoid TO INFINITY. Continued to race keenly in the middle stages.
11 5 TO INFINITY (G277) Shortly after the start became unbalanced when bumped with PERFECT PAIRING.
12 2 SMILING ONE (K336) Jumped only fairly and then raced tight between CIRCUIT DUFFY and SOARING BRONCO which shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
