Racing Incident Report

1 7 PEGAS (L075) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 4 AURIO (K056) When questioned, J Orman stated that the instructions were to find a midfield position with cover if possible. He said in the early stages when caught wide and to the outside of LUCKY TOGETHER he then elected near the 800 Metres to ride his mount forward in an attempt to cross LUCKY TOGETHER and hold a position behind GIANT LEAP. He added as he did so LIFELINE EXPRESS shifted out and as a consequence he was obliged to race very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After considering his explanation the Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Orman were reasonable in the circumstances. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 2 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) No report.
4 11 GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY (K002) Shifted in at the start and was bumped.
5 3 HAROLD WIN (J280) Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
6 13 QUARTZ LEGEND (K548) No report.
7 14 GIANT LEAP (J143) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 8 PI LEGEND (L117) Z Purton reported that his left foot made contact with the running board of the barrier structure on jumping. He added that he was able to hold a position outside the lead but his mount gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight. Z Purton was subsequently examined by the Chief Medical Officer and passed fit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 6 DANICA'S CHOICE (L096) Jumped only fairly. K Teetan reported that his mount raced greenly throughout the event.
10 5 IGOR STRAVINSKY (K086) Jumped only fairly and then was bumped by GOLDENTRONICMIGHTY which shifted in.
11 12 LET'S HAVE FUN (L118) Jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced greenly throughout the early and middle stages. Near the 750 Metres became unbalanced and lost ground when racing tight to the inside of DANICA’S CHOICE (K Teetan) which shifted in and away from LUCKY TOGETHER. K Teetan was advised to exercise more care.
12 1 JUMBO TREASURE (K249) K C Leung reported that his mount travelled well in the lead but became immediately under pressure when challenged by PI LEGEND near the 300 Metres before giving ground thereafter. Trainer W K Mo stated that the horse was disadvantaged by having to be used up from a wide barrier to go forward carrying the top weight of 133 lbs. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 9 LUCKY TOGETHER (L079) No report.
14 10 AUTOMATED (K177) Hung out making the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
