2 10 FLASH CURRENT (J500) Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 1 JUNEAU PRIDE (J443) Bumped on jumping. Lay in over the concluding stages when racing tight to the inside of EMBLAZON.
4 11 OUTGATE (H113) No report.
5 9 ONE MORE (K261) L Hewitson stated that he was asked to go forward and lead but connections had requested him to remain racing away from the rail as they felt it was advantageous to race in this position. Trainer M Newnham confirmed the instructions issued.
6 5 MIGHTY MASTS (L153) Near the 800 Metres was steadied away from CHILL EASY. Bumped near the 350 Metres. A Atzeni stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position with cover. He said in order to obtain cover he was obliged to ride MIGHTY MASTS in a conservative manner in the early stages and as a result settled slightly further back than intended.
7 4 TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) Bumped on jumping.
8 6 CHILL EASY (L148) Raced keenly in the middle stages and approaching the 800 Metres was steadied away from EMBLAZON. Approaching the 350 Metres made contact with MIGHTY MASTS when being shifted out to obtain clear running.
9 7 SUPERB KID (H298) Slow to begin.
10 2 GLITTERING LEGEND (L109) No report.
11 13 FORZA TORO (K355) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A Badel stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages and to ensure it was given clear running to the outside in the Home Straight. Assistant Trainer C K Chung, representing Trainer C Fownes, confirmed the instructions issued. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 14 STELLAR SWIFT (J139) Noted to have lost its right hind plate after the race.
13 12 REAL GENTLEMAN (K534) M Chadwick reported that from the inside barrier he was asked to hold an on-pace position. He said when REAL GENTLEMAN commenced reasonably well he was able to comply with those instructions.
14 3 FLAMING RABBIT (H257) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
