1 13 DRACO (J115) Trainer W K Mo confirmed that from an inside barrier he had instructed rider K C Leung to endeavour to take advantage of the good barrier and hold a more forward position. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 10 FORTUNE KINGO (K457) Approaching the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of SPEEDY TRIDENT to obtain clear running and as a consequence made contact with PERFECT PEACH. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 8 HE WAS ME (J535) No report.
4 9 COLOURFUL WINNER (J312) No report.
5 3 DOUBLE BINGO (J309) When questioned Apprentice H Y Yuen stated that from the outside barrier she was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages and had expected to settle at the back of the field. She said with the early and middle stages being run inside of standard time DOUBLE BINGO settled further back than what she had anticipated, particularly when it also raced ungenerously and lay out. She said in the Home Straight she commenced to shift to the outside of SILVER UP but her mount was reluctant to do so and as a result she was placed at some disadvantage in riding DOUBLE BINGO out as she was required to make a greater effort to encourage her mount to improve to the outside of SILVER UP. She added that after obtaining clear running near the 200 Metres DOUBLE BINGO ran on well. Trainer P F Yiu confirmed the instructions issued, however, stated that the horse settled further back in the field than what he had intended.
6 4 MADE FOR LIFE (L005) Shortly after the start was bumped by WINNING NOW which shifted in.
7 12 CHILL MASTER (J319) For a short distance leaving the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running.
8 6 SILVER UP (J078) No report.
9 1 GRAND TURBO (L138) Jumped only fairly.
10 5 VERBIER (J187) No report.
11 14 SPEEDY TRIDENT (K230) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY TRIDENT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
12 7 WINNING NOW (K532) Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 11 PERFECT PEACH (E488) Bumped approaching the 250 Metres.
14 2 GLORIOUS RYDER (K290) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. The performance of GLORIOUS RYDER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, GLORIOUS RYDER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
