1 6 FLOWING RICHES (K293) C L Chau was found guilty of a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 50 Metres (see RAPID PHANTOM). Sent for sampling post-race.
2 11 ZOUPER FELLOW (K284) Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found suitable to race. Apprentice P N Wong pleaded guilty to a careless riding charge for causing interference near the 50 Metres (see RAPID PHANTOM). Sent for sampling post-race.
3 12 SUPREME VOYAGER (L043) No report.
4 1 RAPID PHANTOM (L204) Shifted out on jumping and made contact with COMET RADIANCE. Apprentice P N Wong (ZOUPER FELLOW) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 50 Metres whilst riding her mount out, she allowed ZOUPER FELLOW to shift in when not sufficiently clear of RAPID PHANTOM, contributing to RAPID PHANTOM having to be checked. Apprentice Wong was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered her very good race riding record. C L Chau (FLOWING RICHES) was found guilty of a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 50 Metres he allowed his mount to shift out when not sufficiently clear of RAPID PHANTOM, contributing to RAPID PHANTOM having to be checked. C L Chau was suspended from riding in races for one Hong Kong raceday to be conducted on Wednesday, 7 October 2026 at Happy Valley. In assessing penalty, the Stewards determined the carelessness grade 2 and the consequences grade 2 and also considered his good race riding record. In considering both penalties, the Stewards took into account the contribution due to the shift from both horses.
5 13 LET'S HAVE FUN (L118) Near the 400 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of FLYING TING LOK to obtain clear running.
6 14 COMET RADIANCE (L067) Crowded at the start.
7 9 THUNDER PRINCE (K017) Over the final 200 Metres lay out and proved difficult to ride.
8 3 HARVEST MOON (L419) Jumped awkwardly.
9 8 GIANT SPIRIT (L169) No report.
10 5 HERO MASTERMIND (L391) Shifted in on jumping and made contact with KINGMAN REEF. Near the 250 Metres was steadied to avoid COMET RADIANCE which shifted out and away from FLOWING RICHES. HERO MASTERMIND then had difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance thereafter.
11 10 SHOW ME YOUR LOVE (L355) Approaching the 100 Metres was eased and shifted to the inside of THUNDER PRINCE to obtain clear running.
12 2 RUN RUN SUNRISE (K552) K C Leung could offer no explanation for his mount failing to finish the race off over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 4 KINGMAN REEF (L446) Jumped only fairly. Shortly after the start was checked when crowded between COMET RADIANCE which was taken out by RAPID PHANTOM and HERO MASTERMIND which shifted in. Over the final 100 Metres could not be ridden out when held up between SHOW ME YOUR LOVE and RUN RUN SUNRISE.
14 7 FLYING TING LOK (K228) No report.
