He said he was checked when disappointed for that run which resulted in his mount getting its head up and becoming unbalanced. He added that after shifting in, it was held up for clear running over the final 100M - Race 345.

9 J338  LUCKY GENERATIONS  14/01/2026   345  LUCKY GENERATIONS (J338) over the final 150M raced tight to the inside of a runner. Passing the 100M it was steadied when crowded. As a consequence it could not be ridden out to the finish of the race. When questioned rider stated that his instructions were to hold an on-pace position from his favourable barrier. He said whilst his mount jumped well, with the early pace of the event being run inside of standard time, he was unable to hold a more forward position in the early stages and as a consequence settled further back in the field than he had intended. He said throughout the middle stages of the event he followed a runner and from the 600M his mount commenced to race keenly and as a result was positioned close to that runner. He added that after the 500M when that runner shifted out to improve, his mount became positioned to the inside of that horse which resulted in him not being able to shift out making the Home Turn which was his preferred option. He said as a consequence he elected to improve to the inside of that runner with a view to following another runner but in the Home Straight he was unable to fully test his mount when held up. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued. After considering the evidence the Stewards found the tactics adopted by rider were reasonable in the circumstances - Race 345.
10 J314  TAIHANG SCENERY  11/02/2026   426  TAIHANG SCENERY (J314) over-raced in the middle stages. Passing the 400M raced awkwardly close to heels and on the Home Turn was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for clear running. Passing the 300M lay in and bumped. Near the 200M was disappointed for a run before then shifting back in to continue into clear running - Race 426.
11 K028  ORIENTAL SURPRISE  11/02/2026   426  ORIENTAL SURPRISE (K028) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 426.
12 H144  SONIC BOOM  21/01/2026   365  SONIC BOOM (H144) blundered on jumping. Raced wide and without cover from the 700M. Near the 300M was hampered and taken wider. Rider reported that over the concluding stages he had some concern with his mount when he felt there may be something amiss with it. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 365.
