Rider reported that he was issued with no specific instruction other than to have the horse race where comfortable, particularly as it is a known “roarer”. He said when his mount jumped well he was able to hold a more forward position than at its previous race starts. Following the race was found that horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 303.
