2 J384  MIGHTY STEED  13/05/2026   688  MIGHTY STEED (J384) bumped shortly after the start. Near the 350M was severely checked when disappointed for clear running. When questioned rider stated that his instructions were to go forward and race outside the expected leader. He said after riding his mount forward and being positioned to the outside of a runner he was waiting for that runner to obtain a trailing position behind the expected leader as he observed rider of that runner, looking to her inside and attempting to do so. He said for some distance near the 1100M his mount shifted in towards that runner and made contact with it which resulted in his stirrup becoming entangled with the stirrup of that rider. He said for that reason he had some difficulty in restraining his mount for a short distance. He added after the 1100M when he was aware the pace of the event was fast and that rider was not able to restrain her mount adequately to obtain cover, he then elected to obtain a position with cover but had some difficulty in doing so when his mount raced keenly. He said on entering the Back Straight after the 900M he was able to obtain a position with cover behind that runner. After considering the evidence the Stewards advised rider that, in their opinion, he should have made a greater effort sooner to obtain a position with cover behind that runner and the expected leader when those two runners maintained their position to his inside to endeavour to avoid the pace of the event being run too fast. When questioned rider stated that from the 700M his mount improved to the inside of that runner. He said as a result he was obliged to ease his mount near the 500M to start to improve to the outside of that runner. He said as he did so another runner improved quickly to his outside which prevented him from obtaining clear running to the outside of that runner. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 688.
3 H116  IVY LEAGUE  20/05/2026   706  IVY LEAGUE (H116) raced keenly in the middle stages. Making the Home Turn was held up for clear running. Near the 250M continued to be held up, then improved into a run when there was not sufficient room to do so, and made contact with a runner – Race 706.
4 J393  VICTOR THE RAPID  10/06/2026   770  VICTOR THE RAPID (J393) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 770.
5 L057  FLYING FORTUNE  03/06/2026   748  FLYING FORTUNE (L057) rider stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to go forward and attempt to obtain cover, however, he was given the option of continuing forward if he was not able to with comply with those instructions. He said when caught wide in the early stages he had no option but to continue forward to avoid covering additional ground - Race 748.
6 J098  TAKE ACTION  03/06/2026   748  TAKE ACTION (J098) bumped shortly after the start. From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Passing the 200M was hampered when taken wider - Race 748.

1 E490  GOLDEN EMPIRE  03/06/2026   747  GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) approaching the 400M was hampered when taken wider. Near the 250M shifted in and made contact with a runner on two occasions. Rider stated that he was instructed not to make use of the horse in the early stages. He said whilst his mount commenced well he allowed it to settle towards the rear of the field as instructed. Trainer confirmed the instructions and said he issued those instructions as the horse had not been finishing its races off at it most recent starts when being ridden in a forward position - Race 747.
