After taking evidence from trainer, rider and Starter, the Stewards determined that the horse reared simultaneously to the start being effected and on that basis the horse was declared a runner. Accordingly, weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge. Following the race was examined by the vet who revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and an endoscopic examination also showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea.
