When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer stated that the horse had returned from surgery to its left knee and had taken some time to develop its fitness. He said he had persevered in racing the horse at Happy Valley as the horse had won at that course previously but at its last start over 1650M was disadvantaged when racing wide and without cover and as a result did not run out the distance of that race. He added the horse was advantaged by being freshened up since its last start and also seemed to appreciate racing on the Sha Tin track at its first start - Race 340.
