Racing Incident Report

HAPPY CHA CHA was slow to begin. HAPPY SCORE shifted in at the start and crowded NEW LEADER in onto HARVEST DANCER. Shortly after the start, SOMETHING SPECIAL and SWEETIE MUSIC bumped. Approaching the Home Turn and rounding the Home Turn, MARK GOOD got its head on the side and hung out. At the 400 Metres, HAPPY SCORE became unbalanced when it momentarily raced tight between BOUNCER and SOMETHING SPECIAL which shifted out. HAPPY CHA CHA, INDUSTRIAL HERO and SURE FORWARD all had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Throughout the race, THE ONLY KID travelled wide and without cover. J Lloyd (HAPPY CHA CHA) was warned for using the whip in the forehand manner down the horse’s shoulder on a number of occasions in the Straight. A veterinary inspection of INDUSTRIAL HERO after the race revealed that the horse had dislodged its upper left incisor tooth and that there was some blood at the mouth. SUPER HORSE, BOUNCER and GOOD THINKER were sent for sampling.
