Racing Incident Report

After being loaded into the barriers, KING’S TROOPER became very fractious, sat down and became cast. KING’S TROOPER was removed from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, KING’S TROOPER was withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Before being allowed to race again, KING’S TROOPER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
AUTHENTIC CHAMP was hampered on jumping by SOCCER MASTER which shifted in.
KING’S HEROISM shifted out at the start and bumped LITTLE GENERAL.
MERIDIAN GENIUS began awkwardly, raced greenly in the early stages and near the 500 Metres lay out and brushed the outside running rail.
THIS IS CLASS lost its right hind plate in the early stages.
Passing the 700 Metres, WAYFOONG CHARMER got its head on the side and lay out.
NICE FANDANGO hung in under pressure over the final 500 Metres and proved difficult to ride.
Passing the 100 Metres, SOCCER MASTER was shifted to the outside of BULLISH BROTHER to continue improving and then over the concluding stages raced in restricted room between BULLISH BROTHER and WAYFOONG CHARMER.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY GUY immediately following the race found that horse to have a small amount of blood at the left nostril. An endoscopic examination of LUCKY GUY found that horse to have bled.
WINNER SUPREME and MERIDIAN GENIUS were sent for sampling.
