Racing Incident Report
When approaching the barriers, JIMSON THE DRAGON became fractious, resulting in its rider, G van Niekerk, being dislodged without incident. JIMSON THE DRAGON then galloped for a short distance riderless before being recaptured. On return to the Start, JIMSON THE DRAGON was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
WICKER and GOLDEN FOUR began only fairly.
SEVENTY SEVENTY shifted in at the start and bumped JIMSON THE DRAGON.
From a wide barrier, CHATER THUNDER was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
SMART ROCKET was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Near the 150 Metres, K Teetan (GREAT VICTORY) dropped his right rein which he took some time to regather.
SMART ROCKET, SKY TREASURE and CHAIRMAN LO were sent for sampling.
<11/3/2019 Additional Veterinary Report>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that SEVENTY SEVENTY was lame in its left front leg on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, SEVENTY SEVENTY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
