2 10 DIAMOND WINNER (H285) Jumped only fairly and then was crowded between COLOURFUL BARON and HAPPY HERO. For some distance near the 100 Metres was taken wider when COLOURFUL BARON continued to shift out. L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 2 TURTLE AGAIN (H083) Sent for sampling post-race.
4 7 COLOURFUL BARON (G301) Bumped shortly after the start.
5 8 HAPPY HERO (G322) Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. Near the 50 Metres was shifted to the inside of TURTLE AGAIN to secure clear running.
6 12 FOXHUNTER WAY (E296) Approaching the 200 Metres briefly raced tight to the inside of TURTLE AGAIN when that runner shifted in.
7 6 UNITED ENDEAVORS (G030) No report.
8 11 VIVA A LA (G282) Shifted in at the start and was bumped before being corrected by its rider M F Poon.
9 9 FORTUNE TRIPLE (D274) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From the 800 Metres commenced a forward move and raced wide and without cover thereafter. Near the 200 Metres was eased away from COLOURFUL BARON (L Hewitson) which shifted out whilst being ridden along. L Hewitson was advised to exercise more care.
10 1 CLASSIC ARCHI (G295) Jumped awkwardly, was crowded shortly after the start and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 4 CIRCUIT ELITE (E487) Bumped on jumping. After the race, K De Melo expressed concern with his mount’s action in the Home Straight when it gave ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, CIRCUIT ELITE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
WX 3 AI ONE (E139) Withdrawn by order of the Stewards on raceday morning (see General).
WV M M NEBULA (G279) Withdrawn on 16.1.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUNNY BABY. Before being allowed to race again, M M NEBULA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
