3 2 LIFELINE EXPRESS (H439) When questioned regarding his riding out over the final 100 Metres of the event, B Avdulla stated that after improving into second placing near the 250 Metres, his mount was unable to make any ground on the winner FULL CREDIT. He stated approaching the 100 Metres LIFELINE EXPRESS commenced to labour and as a result he rode his mount in a manner to continue to encourage it to finish in the best possible position. He said however when challenged by RUBYLOT over the concluding stages, despite his efforts, his mount was unable to hold onto second placing. After considering his explanations, the Stewards were satisfied that B Avdulla had applied the appropriate amount of vigour to his mount over the final 100 Metres of the event.

6 6 EVER SMART (J179) Near the 800 Metres was eased to avoid GIANT LEAP which shifted out when making the turn awkwardly. Bumped approaching the 400 Metres.

10 7 GIANT LEAP (J143) Approaching the 400 Metres was held up for clear running when endeavouring to improve into a narrow run between WINNING MONEY which shifted out and away from ISLAND BUDDY and EVER SMART and as a result made contact with EVER SMART. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 11 STARMEN (J199) Near the 450 Metres was bumped by SUPER TAICHI. After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount would appreciate being stepped up in distance for its next race start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 12 WINNING MONEY (J116) Noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start. Examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After being placed in the starting gates sat down behind. Removed from the barriers, again examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to start. Before being allowed to race again, WINNING MONEY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. Approaching the 400 Metres shifted out and away from ISLAND BUDDY. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
13 9 ISLAND BUDDY (J217) Jumped awkwardly.
14 10 ON THE LASH (J182) Jumped awkwardly.
WV JUDY'S GREAT (J016) Withdrawn on 6.4.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUPER TAICHI. Before being allowed to race again, JUDY’S GREAT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
