Racing Incident Report

1 1 BRIGHT INHERITANCE (J215) When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance, Trainer C H Yip stated that the horse was advantaged by being down in grade today and also advised that BRIGHT INHERITANCE had pleased him in its track work and in particular when it competed in a jump out on 21 May 2024. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 4 TALENTS AMBITION (J136) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 11 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) On jumping was bumped by MARADO which shifted in abruptly, resulting in JOYFUL PROSPERITY becoming unbalanced. Approaching the 100 Metres was taken in by BRIGHT INHERITANCE which shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
4 2 CALIFORNIATOTALITY (H418) Sent for sampling post-race.
5 5 DARING PURSUIT (G424) Bumped shortly after the start.
6 7 MISTER DAPPER (H376) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
7 9 GOOD GOOD (J224) Jumped awkwardly. After the race, A Badel stated that whilst he was given the option to go forward from a wide barrier, when caught wide in the early stages, his mount was not travelling well enough for him to make use of it to take up a forward position. He added as a result GOOD GOOD was obliged to raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
8 13 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) Bumped shortly after the start. Between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. After the race, M F Poon stated that his mount lost momentum and was disadvantaged when held up between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
9 3 MARADO (E245) Shifted in abruptly at the start and was bumped.
10 14 CHILLI BABA (G339) Jumped only fairly, shifted out and made contact with ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE. Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. After the race, A Atzeni stated that his mount did not appreciate racing inside other horses and as a result did not fully stretch out in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. <27/5/2024 Additional Veterinary Reports> CHILLI BABA, which performed disappointingly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings. CHILLI BABA was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer P F Yiu this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right hind leg. Before being allowed to race again, CHILLI BABA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
11 12 ABSOLUTE SUNSHINE (H342) Bumped at the start.
12 10 SOARING BRONCO (J162) No report.
13 8 CIRCUIT FIERY (H475) Crowded shortly after the start. From the 400 Metres to the 300 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. After the race, Z Purton could offer no excuse for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
14 6 SMILING TIME (E235) A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
