1 9 STORM RUNNER (J452) Sent for sampling post-race.
2 7 CHARITY TOGETHER (K254) Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 1300 Metres was momentarily crowded by VOLCANIC SPARK which was racing tight to the inside of OCEAN IMPACT. Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when it lay in whilst being shifted to the outside of OCEAN IMPACT. CHARITY TOGETHER continued to lay in for the remainder of the event. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 AMAZING GAZE (K444) Approaching the 1300 Metres was steadied to avoid OCEAN IMPACT.
4 4 OCEAN IMPACT (J502) Bumped at the start.
5 13 MANAGEMENT FOLKS (E496) Jumped only fairly.
6 12 KINGLY DEMEANOR (H486) No report.
7 6 GOOD GOOD (J224) Shifted out at the start and was bumped. Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight.
8 8 VOLCANIC SPARK (H388) Was momentarily crowded approaching the 1300 Metres.
9 2 SUPREME MASTERMIND (K387) Jumped only fairly. In the middle stages raced keenly and for some distance near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid AMAZING GAZE. For some distance near the 400 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of AMAZING GAZE.
10 5 THE LION KING (K265) No report.
11 10 FORTUNE KINGO (K457) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1300 Metres shifted in when racing keenly and made contact with JOYFUL PROSPERITY. Near the 350 Metres shifted out and away from SUPREME MASTERMIND when that runner shifted out. As a result FORTUNE KINGO made contact with AUDACIOUS PURSUIT.
12 11 JOYFUL PROSPERITY (H213) On jumping was crowded between MAZING GRACE and OCEAN IMPACT, both of which shifted ground. Approaching the 1300 Metres became unbalanced when crowded by FORTUNE KINGO which shifted in abruptly when being steadied to avoid AMAZING GAZE. Over the final 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind THE LION KING and could not be ridden out to the finish of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
13 1 AUDACIOUS PURSUIT (K398) Near the 350 Metres was hampered when taken wider by FORTUNE KINGO. E C W Wong reported that from a wide barrier he was instructed to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages. He said from back in the field his mount found it difficult to make ground when under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, AUDACIOUS PURSUIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
14 14 MAZING GRACE (K166) Bumped at the start.
