10 10 KOLACHI (J395) Fractious in the Parade Ring and made contact with a rail. Was examined after arriving at the Start and found suitable to race. Bumped on jumping. H Bentley reported that his mount raced too keenly throughout the early and middle stages and as a result could not finish the race off in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 8 NORTHERN BEAST (H233) J Orman stated that the instructions were to go forward. He said when his mount jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start he was obliged to shift NORTHERN BEAST behind runners in the early stages. He added after settling back in the field his mount failed to respond to his riding when asked to improve in the Home Straight. Trainer D J Hall confirmed the instructions were to go forward. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 11 MASTER OF HUMOR (K281) Jumped awkwardly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly in the early stages and for some distance near the 1000 Metres was steadied to avoid CALIFORNIA MOXIE.
